About Woodbridge Chamber Concerts (WCC)

WCC held its inaugural concerts in the summer of 2008 with the full support of the Rector and the PCC of St Mary’s Parish Church Woodbridge.

Its aims are:

• To provide a platform for young professional musicians of the highest calibre

• To promote Woodbridge Parish Church as a centre for chamber music recitals

• To feature, where possible, performances of English music

WCC is a  non profit making, organisation which relies on ticket sales for its funding. It has no regular sponsors or subscription paying members and is run by the organiser John Treadway and a band of volunteers many of whom are fellow concert stewards from Aldeburgh Music.

The organiser is a member of the Ipswich Arts Association and is also a trustee of the Ralph Vaughan Williams Society and its East Anglian representative.

Those on the mailing list receive the brochure two weeks before general distribution. 

WCC works in collaboration with other societies and organisations, promoting classical music in the area to ensure, where possible, dates, artists and programmes are not duplicated.(see WCC Home page)
